Announcement cont’d • To make a next day 30 minute resume appointment: • Simply login to your Carleton Central account • Select the MyCareer link beside "Other Services" • Accept the transfer of information statement • You are now automatically logged in and your account has been created. • Click on the Appointments tab. • Click the link “Resume/Cover Letter (30 minutes)” to view available appointments for the next business day. • Select from the list of available times. • Space is limited and fill on a first-come-first serve basis.  • Attendance

The Cover Letter • Expresses your interest in and qualifications for a position to a prospective employer • Should introduce the most salient highlights of your resume or elaborate on the information in your resume • Creates an individualized stamp for you as a potential candidate and provides evidence of your qualifications • Should be no longer than one typed page • Appeal to company’s values, attitudes, goals, projects, etc. • Should be error-free. Proofread carefully for grammatical and typographical errors.
