  4. SARMALE Sarmale is a traditional Rumanian  dish, which is eaten for Christmas. Minced meat(usually beef, pork, veal), rice, onions salt pepper and local herbs, are mixed together and then rolled into large leaves, which usually are wine leaves. The combination is then boiled for several hours; the best  cooking method is slow boiling in large clay pots.

  5. SARMIZEGETUSA REGIA SarmizegetusaRegia was the capital and the most important military, religious and political center of Dacia. Erected on top of a 1,200 meter high mountain, the fortress was the core of the strategic defensive system in the Orăştie Mountains (in present-day Romania), comprising six citadels. SarmizegetusaRegia was the capital of Dacia before the wars against the Roman Empire. The Dacian capital’s defensive system included Six Dacian fortresses — Sarmizegetusa, Blidaru, Piatra Roşie, Costeşti, Căpâlna and Băniţa. Today, these are UNESCO World heritage sites.

  6. CHEILE TURZIL CheileTurzii is a natural reserve (on Hășdate River) situated 6 km west of Turda and about 15 km south-east of Cluj-Napoca, in Transylvania, Romania. The canyon, formed through the erosion of the jurasiccalcar of the mountain, is 2 900 m long and the walls are over 300 mt high. CheileTurzii features one of the richest and most scenic landscapes in Romania. More than 1000 plants and animal species (some of them rare or endangered, like the wild garlic or some species of eagle) live here.

  7. CASTEL BRAN Castle Bran situated near Bran and very close to Braşov, is a national monument and landmark in Romania. The fortress is situated on the border between Transylvania and Wallachia. Commonly known as "Dracula's Castle" , it is marketed as the home of the main character in Bram Stoker's Dracula. The castle is now a museum open to tourists, displaying art and furniture collected by Queen Marie. At the bottom of the hill is a small open air museum park exhibiting traditional Romanian peasant structures (cottages, barns, etc.) from all over the country.
