  5. Some things to remember: Simple and Progressive • Present simple doesn’t mean it’s happening now. • It is a daily habit or a usual activity.

  6. X X X X X Some things to remember: Simple and Progressive Mie studies every day. She doesn’t goof off! s ‘Goof off’ is slang. It means ‘waste time’ or ‘avoid doing work.’

  7. Some things to remember: Simple and Progressive • If you want to say ‘it’s happening now’, use the present progressive. • Progressive means ‘in progress.’ • be + V-ing
