  3. Two categories for Comparison • Newly industrializing Countries- have experienced both economic growth and democratization, a process known as Compressed Modernity. Example of this Mexico • Less Developed Counties Form a larger category than newly industrializing countries. They have experienced political and economic change but have not developed distinct characteristics of advanced democracies. Example Nigeria
