  3. The Introduction • Catchy Lead/Vehicle • Often humorous in nature • Creative reveal of the problem • Often connected to the catchy lead • Highlight why the problem is a problem! Highlight its impact on society! • Move into a two or three point thesis that reviews the problem and offers a solution!

  4. The Body • May reference vehicle throughout or only in portions. • Highlights research concerning problem in today’s society. • Utilizes public speaking rhetorical strategies – see next slide… • 3rd point often has a personal anecdote – so the audience knows why you chose this topic! But keep it short and sweet!
