An ISB Whole-School English Competition
The speaker must be familiar with the material. It should not be memorized, but neither should it be read. Students should make periodic eye contact with the text.
Thought and composition should be judged on the basis of their effects as a speech performance, not as a written composition. Evaluation will be weighted 65 for content and 35 for delivery.
Hand movement and vocal characterization should be kept to a minimum, and acting is discouraged.
Presentations should be between about 3 minutes (300 words).
