Tools, Equipment and Light Machinery in LBRC • Surveying tools: Simple locally available ones • Pegs, • Range poles, • Strings, Meter (long) • Clearing and grubbing: • Axe, pick axe, rake, bush knife (‘Gejera’) 3. Setting out: • Pegs, strings, meters (short and long), wooden or metalic 90 degree tool (‘squadra’) or 3-4-5 string, • Mason hammer, • Line level

Surfacing: excavation, hauling, spreading, compaction • Pick axe, shovel, wheel barrow, • Light machinery: tractor, trailer, water tanker, roller 6. Drainage structures: Ford, culvert, bridge • Fords: simple tools like pegs, strings, hammer (big & small), meter, spirit level, mason knife, (shovel for concrete), • Culverts and bridges: from simple to medium like mixer (RC)
