Stormwater Management Park Pond Project Update: August 2011

The project involves the design and construction of a park pond extending from Radford to Bowie and I-10 to Rosa. This pond will enhance the stormwater management system of the Government Hills Outfall. As of August 2011, the contractor has paved approximately 95% of the neighborhood and completed sod installation in the soccer fields. The project is on track for substantial completion by the first week of August, with a total budget of $5,273,754.15 funded by EPWU and Certificates of Obligation from 2006 and 2009.
