  2. What is writing ? • Writing is a visual code which is devised to represent an oral code, which represents the real world. • Writing is an active skill.

  3. When do we write ? • When we need to do so, when we feel like it ( in normal daily situations).

  5. What do we write? • Lists • Notes • Messages • Cards • Letters • Recipes • Menus • Invitations • Instructions • Diary entries • Reports and surveys • Notices • Forms • Dialogues • Comic strips • Stories

  6. Each activity has 3 main stages. The lead in – Motivation Organizing texts - Guidelines Creating texts

  7. 1) Lead-in: Motivation - This introduces the learners to the topic, focuses their attention. • 2) Organizing texts: Guidelines - This stage provides controlled writing practice in preparation for freer writing task. • 3) Creating texts: This stage gives the learners the opportunity to use the knowledge they have already acquired to produce their own text. The teacher provides a context and a reason for writing.

  14. Antony Parker • I want to find out things about Anthony Parker because he is a basketball player and because I am a fan of his. I want to know about him: • 1) When did he start to play basketball? • 2) Where did he start to play basketball? • 3) Which teams did he play for? • 4) What was his dream when he was child? • 5) What does he want to do after he leaves basketball? • 6) Who is his idol in the basketball world? • My source is only the internet. • I found on the internet some answers: • 1) He started to play basketball in 1997. • 2) He started to play basketball in the University of Bradley. • 3) He plays for Philadelphia 76.Orlando. Kwod. Virtos-Roma and Maccabi. • On questions 4 ,5 and 6 I can't find answers and I can't meet him because he is famous. • I found all the answer to the questions on the internet in Tzaevet website.

  15. Gold Rush • Citizens of Skagway: • The criminal is here - we must fight him!!! • There is a gang led by Jefferson “Soapy” Smith • Soapy’s gang stole 3000$ two days ago. One of the miners who spends time and money in our town said that he isn’t the first who Soapy’s gang stole from .We need to do something about it. • If we will keep our mouths shut next time the amount will be higher. • If we want to earn some of the gold that the people found, we need to dispose of Soapy or else the miners won't come to our town. • I am ready to die for this .
