  2. Myname’s Columbano Bordalo Pinheiro. People say that I was a great painter!

  3. I was born on the 21th November , 1857, in Lisbon. • In 1901, I was professor and director of the National Museum of Contemporary Art.

  4. This was the “ZéPovinho” a symbol associated with the Republic and to the Portuguese people, created by my brother Raphael, who was a sculptor and a cartoonist.

  5. Thegroupofpainters In 1881 , I created the “group of Lion”, in Lisbon. This group of painters and writers ( considered modern on that period), met usually , in this pub, with same name.

  6. I died on the 6th November 1929. I was a naturalist and realist Portuguese painter. I left many works which portray important periods of my life.
