Global Midwest Alliance & Midwest Clean Tech 2009

Global Midwest Alliance is a 501(c)(3) organization focused on aligning and integrating resources for sustained economic development and business growth in the Midwest. They develop markets for Midwest businesses, encourage international business activities, and facilitate technology commercialization. Their programs include the World Bank Private Sector Liaison Office, engagement with International Trade Commissioners, and the Midwest "CONNECT" Technology Commercialization Task Force.

Global Midwest Alliance • Aligning and integrating resources for sustained economic development and business growth in the Midwest with programs and services that • Develop and expand markets for businesses based in the Midwest • Encourage and assist international business activities in the region • Integrate business, financial and scientific resources for successful commercialization of technology in the Midwest • A 501(c)(3) organization affiliated with the Economic Development Council. In August, undertook to continue certain important programs and employed personnel formerly with Illinois Global Partnership.

Innovation Competition • Over the course of the conference, we will hold an “Innovation Competition” between attending companies and entrepreneurs with emerging or early-stage technologies • Applications taken from any Midwest or International Innovator • Application Period Deadline 10/19/09 with notification to finalists by 10/27/09 • Top three Innovators selected to present at Midwest Clean Tech 2009 • Winners will be decided by an in-house set of judges and will be presented awards at the close of the conference • All finalists will be invited to present their papers at a Business Opportunity Session during the conference.
