Benedict Arnold • Born in Connecticut (1741) • Fought as a Colonel on behalf of the Massachusetts Committee of Safety to the Continental Army during the American Revolution. • Traitor, surrendered West Point to the British. • Quick to attack, capable leader, recognized by his peers as a “great military man.”
