CBS Priorities • WIGOS into the Implementation Phase • Implementation of WIS Centres • Robust Requirements Process • WIS – a move from telecoms centric to information centric management • WIGOS- moving from observation silos to integrated management Our Information System (WIS) and our Observation System (WIGOS) are the two foundations that our operational house is built upon WIGOS and WIS Essential to provide enhanced, efficient and cost effective services across all WMO activities, for all WMO Programmes including the GFCS

CBS Priorities • Integrated Management including Quality Management is essential to be cost effective as well as efficient - its a priority for CBS • Data & metadata representation and codes including migration to modern formats • Severe Weather Forecasting and Disaster Risk Reduction Demonstration Projects (SWFDDP) & support to the Disaster Risk Reduction Programme - its a priority for CBS

CBS Priorities • The ability of Members to deliver services is the true measure of what we do & of the value of this organization • Services to society, services to decision makers, services to the public and services to organizational entities public, private, academic or otherwise • WIS and WIGOS as foundational components are needed so Members can deliver services • Quality management, data representation systems and integrated data management are needed so Members can deliver services • NMHS’s key strength is to be able to deliver services Support to Capacity Building for the implementation of the WWW systems and the Public Weather Services - its a priority for CBS
