Goal WMO To provide, in a training environment, a forum for exchange of experiences and technical information, as a basis for improving the provision of weather forecasts, emphasizing prediction of weather hazards, to support warning services. Within the framework of the SWFDP Training Workshop Goals, Objectives and Programme 5

Course Objectives WMO • GDPFS and Sat (1st week) To update and broaden the knowledge of staff responsible for operational forecasting and development, to ensure the access and optimal use of existing NWP/EPS and satellite-based products with emphasis on forecasting hazardous weather conditions • PWS (2nd week) To provide knowledge of a broad range of topics related to improved PWS, emphasizing the delivery of warning services to media and disaster manager authorities Training Workshop Goals, Objectives and Programme 6
