  1. How do we live God’s Plan in our lives?

  2. How do you implement God’s plan for your life? • Who do you want on your team? • Really Hard to Do in Real Life…. We talked last week about God’s plan for your life.

  3. From Last Week: What is God’s Plan for your Life?

  4. Hmmmmmmmmm…………… When in confusion or doubt, what resource has God given us to help us out? The Bible, the Holy Spirit, the church community If we Don’t know God’s plan,What do we do??????

  5. Do we know what is going to happen?

  6. Abraham Job Moses Paul In the Bible what did the people know about God’s plan for their life and what did they do?

  7. Everything was vague. They did NOT have the details or the timeline. They often waited. God did not present them with a script which they had a role. Instead God wanted them to trust him…. Day…to ….day to….. Day to day…. Sometimes they had to wait when they wanted action. All of them were aware of God, yet….

  8. We Wait….. & Wait…….

  9. On your sports Like Abraham & Sarah, manytimes we, act without God.

  10. Or like Jonah We Procrastinate.

  11. Or we are not very Responsible… “This pic is hilarious already, but here is the back story:The fella in the white doesn’t know Tom Hanks, never met, never will. Tom was sitting at the bar with his friend having a few beers, when he noticed this guy passed out, he went over to see if he was ok noticed the guys mobile phone was on the table shot off a few pics and left the guy passed out and put the phone in the guys pocket.”

  12. 5 With all your heart • you must trust the Lord • and not your own judgment. • 6Always let him lead you, • and he will clear the road • for you to follow. • 7 Don't ever think that you • are wise enough, • but respect the Lord • and stay away from evil. Proverbs 3

  13. But we can work with others.

  14. We can score a goal.

  15. “We can score a goal when we work as a team.”

  16. While it is cliché, we do work better on teams.

  17. On your sports team? Who is the best in your sport? Who would u pick to join your team? Who do you want on that hard school project team? Who do you want to join your band/music group? But who do you want on your team?

  18. For example, you may ask friends about how to approach people. But the advice might be bad ……… In life, you can have a ‘team’ to deal with problems.

  19. So you need a team that will give you good advice.

  20. 7 Some people trust the power • of chariots or horses, • but we trust you, Lord God. • 8Others will stumble and fall, • but we will be strong • and stand firm. • 9Give the king victory, Lord, • and answer our prayers. Psalm 20

  21. If you could have anyone? Everyone knows the Sunday School answer. But do we REALLY want God on our team? Or do we want to make all the decisions ourselves. To reach your lifetime goals, who you want on your team..

  22. Question 1: You have a test in a really hard class. A friend offers you a copy of the answers. What do you do? Question 2: You and one other person who you do not like, are competing for the last slot for an award that will look great on your college application. You find an embarrassing post on Instagram/facebook/twitter that will make you a lock for the award. What do you do? Question 3: You are offered a joint by someone you are romantically attracted to. What do you do? Report back to everyone a summary of the responses in the group. Split into groups and ask yourselves…

  23. Question 1: You have a test in a really hard class. A friend offers you a copy of the answerers. What do you do? Question 2: You and one other person who you do not like are competing for the last slot for an award that will look great on your college application. You find an embarrassing post on Instagram/facebook/snapchat that will make you a lock for the award. Do you report the pic? Question 3: You are offered a joint by someone you are romantically attracted to. What do you do? For each of the questions what would God say?

  24. It is easy to say “Yea, I want to have God on my team”, but it is real easy to ‘bench’ him and ignore him. I personally have to work real hard to keep him ‘in my game’. One person mentioned having a twitter follow that reminds you of God. I have a couple of people that remind me of God- The Pope, CS Lewis Institute and John Piper. But they often annoy me and I want them to go away and NOT be reminded of God. I don’t know about you, but this is really hard for me.

  25. This will not change as you grow older. No matter what your age you want to shut God out of part of your life. We are in Plan C. Some parts God is part of our plan and we get to Plan B. Once in a while we get to Plan A. Challenge for you: Put God in the game on your side in one area which you have ‘benched’ him. Each of us have parts of our lives in different ‘plans’.

  26. How do you implement God’s plan for your life? • Who do you want on your team? • Really Hard to Do in Real Life…. • Conclusion: If we want to live out Gods plan for our lives, we have to have him on our ‘team’ for every play. We cannot bench God or leave God out of part of our lives. But this is REALLY hard to do in practice. We talked last week about God’s plan for your life.
