  19. A Pertinent Comment to bear in Mind “It isaccepted that interested parties wish to assure their corporate reputations and they have a right to expect their contractor to use their best endeavors to attain that level of service…but …the standard of observations needs to be maintained”.

  20. Additional Feedback to Consider Ask the Question not what you think the Question is. Utilise your experience, keep observations factual explanatory and not interpretations.

  21. Additional Feedback to Consider “Yes” or “No” Answers by Inspectors: As stand alone answers these can cause difficulties for the owner/operator if these are without suitable qualification.

  22. Additional Feedback to Consider The Benefits of the Close out Meeting: - The inclusion of additional comments after the inspection; the number of observations/comments do tend to increase once the final report comes out, this; • Lowers morale onboard • Defeats the object of the close out meeting; • Increases the possibilities of misunderstandings; • Diminishes respect from those onboard

  23. Additional Feedback to Consider The use of Cameras onboard Tankers! How do you use Yours?

  24. Terminal Vetting Database WG In cooperation with BP • Issue:- • Enhance Safety Ship/Shore Interface • Aim:- • Check before • Report afterwards • Objectives:- • Continual improvement • Terminal Interaction Reports available on members website

  25. Terminal Vetting Database • The Terminal Vetting Database upgraded & is now hosted by www.Q88.com in partnership with INTERTANKO (as approved by Council) • Access restricted to members & associate members • 1 page report form • Simple • User Friendly • Terminal Feedback

  26. Low Score reports of 1 or 2, INTERTANKO sends an automated email to the terminal requesting Terminal Comments
