Beaune Bastion 1er Cru 2006 Bourgogne, France Grape Variety Region Vineyards Vinification Tasting notes Food matches Analysis 100% Pinot Noir Selected 1er Cru plots, Beaune, Bourgogne, France The weather at the start of summer was quite demanding.However, the sun appeared at the end of August and continuedthroughout September. The harvest commenced in mid-Septemberin perfect conditions. Careful selection of grapes in the vineyard andwinery have produced beautiful wines with very pure aromas. Soil -mix of clay and limestone Site - The Premiers Crus vineyards of Domaine Chanson are aged in casksin the Bastion cellars. This cuvée is a blend of grapes sourced fromselected plots among the Premiers Crus of the domaine located onthe hill of Beaune. Hand harvested. Fermented in oak barrels. Malolactic fermentation. The wine is vinified and aged in oak barrels for a period of about 10 months. Please note that we use a maximum of 30% of new oak to let express the authenticity of each our terroirs. Bright ruby colour. Aromas of red berries (red berries) and liquoricemixed with spicy nuances and a hint of vanilla. Well-balanced, well-structured and mellow. Delicate oak note. Finetannins. Persistant aftertaste. Red meat grilled or en sauce and all sorts of cheeses, especially our local cheeses like Epoisses, Citeaux and Langres. Alc: 13,5% Acidity : 2,74 g/L Residual sugar : max. 2 g/L
