  1. SAUVIGNON BLANC TASTING NOTES Colour Green colour with yellow tint, young Nose Fruity nose with green apples, gooseberry and juicy grapefruit flavours. A refreshing dry white with tangy flavours of green and yellow fruit. Palate This is a fresh, young wine with pleasant acidity. A refreshing dry white with tangy flavours of green and yellow fruit. FOOD PAIRING This wine pairs well with delicate seafood (crab, prawns, trout, oysters), vegetables such as grilled asparagus, tomatoes, green beans, olives, and peppers. Also try it with pasta primavera, goat cheese, salads, chicken and egg-based dishes. It will also enhance mildly spicy Asian or Indian cuisine.Always serve chilled at 10-12°C (50-54°F).   2. CHARDONNAY TASTING NOTES Colour Gold yellow with a green tint. Nose A powerful and modern Chardonnay bursting with pineapple, grapefruit and yellow plum aromas. A delightful peach and green apple flavours. Palate It is well balanced and has long, elegant finish with minerals notes. FOOD PAIRING A good accompaniment for smoked salmon sushi rolls, grilled chicken and light fish in a rich sauce. Delicious with mildly spicy Asian or fusion cuisine, Pad Thai and creamy and aged cheeses. Enjoy it today, but can be cellared for 2 years from vintage if stored horizontally in a cool dark place. Best when served cool between 10-12°C (50-54°F).   3. MERLOT TASTING NOTES Colour Intensely purple colour with violet red highlights. Nose A ripe fruit aroma and lots of soft berries and plum flavours, enhanced by oaky notes. Palate A rich and concentrated wine with silky texture, fine tannins and good weight of fruit. A juicy sensation on the mouth with a good balance between ripeness and liveliness. FOOD PAIRING Pair it with a wide range of savory dishes especially pork and duck, soft cheeses, BBQ chicken wings, casseroles and pasta with tomato-based sauces. Try La Palma Reserva Merlot with chocolate mousse or raspberry bavarois. It makes delicious drinking now but can be cellared for 3 years from vintage if stored horizontally in a cool dark place.   4. CARMENERE TASTING NOTES Colour Intense violet colour Nose Full of ripe plum and blackberry, with hints of mocha coffee and dark chocolate, enhanced by oaky notes. Palate Dark and rich flavour profile, lushly fruited, with soft acidity and good weight. FOOD PAIRING Pair it with red meats dishes, poultry with rich onion sauces, pork loin, and cheeses. This wine is excellent with green curry and Pad Thai, typical dishes of the Thai cuisine. It makes delicious drinking now, as young wine, but can be cellared for 3 years from vintage if stored horizontally in a cool dark place. Once open, enjoy within two days.   5. CABERNET SAUVIGNON TASTING NOTES Colour An elegant deep ruby colour. Nose Aromas of ripe cassis, black cherries, blueberry and cedary oak. A distinctive wine. Palate An intensely fruity wine, smooth and easy-drinking but packed with cassis, mint and blackberry flavours, enhanced by oaky notes. Excellent balance between fruity and oak. FOOD PAIRING Great with grilled red meat, especially lamb chops and Angus beef. Perfect with mature cheeses, prosciutto and walnuts. You can enjoy it with Marguerite pizza and vegetarian Canelones. Ideal to enjoy a glass of La Palma Reserva Cab Sav in an autumn afternoon as an aperitif.
