A Previous Successful Improvement Strategy – Booking policy Aim of Project: Improve attendance rate at OAS clinic by offering patients the opportunity to arrange their own appointment Improvement Sought: More flexible booking process, offering patient variety of appointment dates and times (within the constraints of when clinics run) Areas: Orthopaedic Access Service and OA Hip Knee Service When: Implemented August 2006 (with ongoing refinement) Resources: Existing outpatient admin staff – Allocated full time orthopaedic clerk position
