Peter Jones Foundation Founded in 2005 by successful entrepreneur Peter Jones CBE, the Foundation believes that all young people deserve a brighter future and aims to help them reach their potential through a range of pioneering educational activities and initiatives which champion and celebrate entrepreneurship.   3. Peter Jones CBE Peter Jones CBE is one of Britain’s best-known and respected entrepreneurs. Peter owns a broad portfolio of businesses ranging from telecoms and leisure to publishing, media and recruitment. As well as his success as an entrepreneur, Peter has been a panellist on one of the UK’s leading television programmes, Dragon’s Den, since 2005 which has enabled him to further expand his portfolio of business investments. In 2009, Peter was made a CBE for services to business, enterprise and young people. www.peterjonesfoundation.org

Peter Jones Foundation • The Foundation’s primary aim is to drive a society-wide revolution that encourages self-belief in individuals so that they can think differently and creatively about their next steps. Ultimately, the aim is to inspire the nation to make enterprising decisions about their future. • Currently the Foundation runs the following education programmes: • Peter Jones Enterprise Academy • Tycoon in Schools • Ignite Apprenticeship programme www.peterjonesfoundation.org

Peter Jones Enterprise Academy • The Enterprise Academy is a nationwide network of educational providers throughout the UK which are founded on a philosophy of ‘learning by doing’. • The Academies run various courses in Enterprise and Entrepreneurship to educate and encourage young people (aged 16 and above) across the country to have the confidence and skills to approach life with a 'can do' attitude. www.pjea.org

Peter Jones Enterprise Academy • At the Academy our learners receive: • Training from tutors with real business experience • Work placements tailored to their specific interests • Masterclasses led by entrepreneurs • Opportunities to work on regional and national • business challenges • As well as all this, our learners develop the skills and know how to set up and run their own business. www.pjea.org

  7. Tycoon in Schools • Launched in 2012, Tycoon in Schools is a national enterprise competition which runs in secondary schools across England. • The competition encourages students between the ages of 11-18 to get involved in entrepreneurship by allowing them to set up and run a real business within their school during a specific trading period during the autumn term. www.tycooninschools.com

Ignite Apprenticeships • The Ignite Apprenticeship programme offers young people the opportunity to: • Earn while they learn • Develop an innovative mindset • Energise a business from within • Ignite is the UK’s first non-occupational apprenticeship programme and includes two levels of apprenticeship, funded and developed in conjunction with the National Apprenticeship Service and Pearson.
