This document outlines the selection criteria for identifying electrons in particle physics events, focusing on requirements such as trigger efficiencies, isolation cuts, and energy-momentum parameters. Key criteria include a trigger threshold of EF_e10_medium, specific Delta R requirements between reconstructed and trigger electrons, and robust medium cuts tailored for Monte Carlo simulations. The analysis looks at electron pT, cluster energy, missing ET, and transverse mass distributions, ensuring events selected exhibit only one electron with suitable missing ET.

Selection criteria • Electrons • trigger: • EF_e10_medium • ΔR between reconstructed electron† and trigger electron < 0.15 • TopInputs Cuts • author: 1 (reconstructed as hard electron) or 3 (reconstructed as both hard and soft electron) • RobustMedium cuts (specific for Monte Carlo, similar to IsEM medium cuts, but looser) • E/p isEM cut, E: cluster energy, p: track momentum • PT > 20GeV • 0 < |ηcluster| < 1.37, 1.52 < |ηcluster| < 2.47 • isolation: etcone20 < (4GeV + 0.023*PT) • conversion removal: require a pixel b-layer hit • Missing ET • ET > 20GeV • Event selected if has only one electron and missing ET that pass the requirement • †ηcluster and Φcluster are used
