  5. Celebrate! • Thrilling territory for a discovery centre Rewriting “museum” for the future • Telling the story of the past in a way that’s fresh and exciting

  6. Hang on…is there cause for celebration?

  7. Yes! Modern mining! Waihi! Mother Nature! Miners ‘Spirit’! Progression of surgical mining NZ rural town proactively working to build a sustainable future Respect for the land Which proffers the bounty Ordinary men driven to do extraordinary things Gold and it’s uses! New Zealand! The Region! Electronics, Medicine, Dentistry, Space exploration… Subconsciously celebrates the pioneering spirit of NZ Local natural, cultural and heritage attractions

  8. Some of the job has been already been done Miners ‘Spirit’ Modern mining Waihi and wider region Both celebrated within the Story Inc. concept Celebrated within the name, the isite and natural position of the Discovery centre

  9. Leaving these to be celebrated Mother Nature Gold New Zealand What do these things all have in common?
