  1. The Sahara Desert • The Sahara Desert is the largest in the world – WOW! • The Sahara is North Africa. • It measures 1000 miles North to South and 3000 miles East to West. • The average rainfall is 3 inches or 75mm per year – very dry.

  2. What can you do in the desert? • There is a rally race called the Paris- Dakar that runs through the desert every year. • People also have running races in the desert for 150 miles. Their backpack can weigh 9Kg when running.

  3. What lives in the desert? • Camels are known as animals that live in the desert. • Addax is an antelope that live's in the Sahara • desert.

  4. What you would find there? • You would find lots of rocks in the desert. Did you know that the sand would blow and that creates sand dunes.
