Noted existing Projects/ Programme of similar nature financed by Development Partners; 4.Need for LVBC to look at broad based approach; based on Programmatic approach as compared to Projects- wise approach; • Need to map ongoing projects and programmes, identify challenges and gaps before Scaling up of existing or similar projects/ programme from ongoing projects at regional level rather than new projects is preferred E.g. Climate change among others supported by USAID EA, LWATSAN financed by ADB so as to see synergy; and How to expand to other geographical areas; • World Bank are willing to discuss what are issues from 2nd phase of LVEMP with World Bank to be included in WB support to 3rd phase ; • All scaling up and new initiatives have to contributes to LVBC Programmes

  5. Meeting Recommendations 5. LVBC should evaluate implementation capacity in relation to scaling up projects and programme particularly budget vs human resource at LVBC and implementation capacity at Partner States; 6. LVBC to focus on the regional roles; rather than country specific interventions e.gKisat River; 7. There is need for the LVBC to discuss with Development Partners supporting existing projects/ programme to explore opportunities for scaling up in-terms of new areas with similar challenges or new phases of existing projects/ Programmes; 8.
