YOUR COMPLETE DBQ WITH OUTSIDE INFORMATION, DOCUMENT ANALYSIS, RATIONALE, AND SOURCES IS DUE MARCH 29! WHICH IS 1 THURSDAYS AWAY! YOU HAVE NO LIBRARY DAYS NEXT WEEK SO YOU BETTER GET ON THIS!

  2. Read • As a class, read the Simulation • Part 1 – Chris and ??? • Part 2 – Volunteers???

  3. Simulation • If the story actually happened and you and your family were actually interned what would you do? • What would you be feeling? • What would you be worrying about? • What would you be scared of?

  4. Bill of Rights Violation • Read through the bill of rights (get it online) • Which of your rights was violated? And Why?

  5. Comparison • Compare your experience with the experience of Japanese Americans • Does what happened to you make anyone in the eastside community more safe? Did what happened to the Japanese Americans make anyone more safe? • Think about the discussion we had last week • When is it justified to suspend someone's civil rights? Is it ever justified? • What would you do if your civil rights were suspended?

  6. Picking a Side • If you answered Yes to both questions please sit on the Left side of the room • If you answered No to both questions please sit on the Right side of the room • Choose a partner on your side of the room and read your statement to them. • With that same partner create a propaganda poster that will visually express to combination of the opinions in your statements
