  2. DEFINITION AND EXAMPLE OF HOMONYM • Homonym is one of a group of words that share the same spelling and the same pronunciation but have different meanings. Examples: • Fly = move through the air as a bird • Fly = insect that have two wings • Hard = difficult • Hard = something solid • Close = near • Close = shut • Ring = produce sounds • Ring = circular metal band worn on finger • Saw = verb I of see • Saw = tool which has long blade with sharp teeth

  3. DEFINITION AND EXAMPLE OF HOMOPHONE • Homophone is a word that sounds exactly like another word, but has a different meaning and a different spelling. Examples : • Addition = process of adding • Edition = form in which a book is printed • Know = there are information on our mind • Now = present time • Meet = go to place and wait there for person to arrive • Meat = flesh • Rice = white or reg grain that is cooked and eaten • Rise = come or go upwards • Win = be most successful in competition • Wind = air that move quickly
