  7. Begin forming similes out of the descriptive words that you have chosen. • Example: Sparkly as a diamond • Remember: you are comparing the descriptive word with a noun (person, place, thing, or idea) that represents what that description means to you

  8. Check your spelling and double-check that each description has a complete simile that matches and makes sense to you! • Write your final copy in sharpie on your gingerbread person. • Decorate your gingerbread person with crayons or colored pencils.
