  1. GENESIS 24:1 And Abraham was old, and well stricken in age: and the LORD had blessed Abraham in all things. GENESIS 24:2 And Abraham said unto his eldest servant of his house, that ruled over all that he had, Put, I pray thee, thy hand under my thigh:

  2. GENESIS 24:9 And the servant put his hand under the thigh of Abraham his master, and sware to him concerning that matter. GENESIS 24:10 And the servant took ten camels of the camels of his master, and departed; for all the goods of his master were in his hand: and he arose, and went to Mesopotamia, unto the city of Nahor. GENESIS 24:11 And he made his camels to kneel down without the city by a well of water at the time of the evening, even the time that women go out to draw water.

  3. GENESIS 24:12 And he said, O LORD God of my master Abraham, I pray thee, send me good speed this day, and shew kindness unto my master Abraham. GENESIS 24:13 Behold, I stand here by the well of water; and the daughters of the men of the city come out to draw water: GENESIS 24:14 And let it come to pass, that the damsel to whom I shall say, Let down thy pitcher, I pray thee, that I may drink; and she shall say, Drink, and I will give thy camels drink also: let the same be she that thou hast appointed for thy servant Isaac; and thereby shall I know that thou hast shewed kindness unto my master.

  4. GENESIS 24:15 And it came to pass, before he had done speaking, that, behold, Rebekah came out, who was born to Bethuel, son of Milcah, the wife of Nahor, Abraham's brother, with her pitcher upon her shoulder. GENESIS 24:16 And the damsel was very fair to look upon, a virgin, neither had any man known her: and she went down to the well, and filled her pitcher, and came up. GENESIS 24:17 And the servant ran to meet her, and said, Let me, I pray thee, drink a little water of thy pitcher. GENESIS 24:18 And she said, Drink, my lord: and she hasted, and let down her pitcher upon her hand, and gave him drink.

  5. GENESIS 24:26 And the man bowed down his head, and worshipped the LORD. GENESIS 24:27 And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of my master Abraham, who hath not left destitute my master of his mercy and his truth: I being in the way, the LORD led me to the house of my master's brethren.

  6. HEBREW LEXICON -- STRONG'S NUMBER 883 B'er la-Chay Ro'iy {be-ayr' lakh-ah'ee ro-ee'} yiaor y;x;l rea.B from 875 and 2416 (with prefix) and 7203; TWOT -- omitted; n pr loc Beer-lahai-roi = "well of the Living One seeing me"

  7. GENESIS 24:64 And Rebekah lifted up her eyes, and when she saw Isaac, she lighted off the camel. GENESIS 24:65 For she had said unto the servant, What man is this that walketh in the field to meet us? And the servant had said, It is my master: therefore she took a vail, and covered herself. GENESIS 24:66 And the servant told Isaac all things that he had done.

  8. THE.TIME.OF.DECISION_ CHICAGO.IL THURSDAY_ 59-0611 E-14 And we learn in here a beautiful lesson of Abraham, a type of God the Father hunting for a servant to go find a Bride for His Son. That's what the Father's doing today. He's looking over His group to see someone that He can put trust in, that'll take the Message that He sends to the Bride. And He decided that Eliezer was the selected one, because he had found Eliezer a trustworthy servant. He had been loyal, and true, and upright, and just, and honest. That's the kind of a servant that God can pick to take a message from Him to the Church: as one that's been proven to be just. Do you remember my sermon the last time here on the selecting, or the placing of a son, how that he was proven first, and then adopted into the family or placed positionally? And Eliezer met the requirement that Abraham was requiring.

  9. THE.EVENING.MESSENGER_ MESA.AZ V-8 N-5 WEDNESDAY_ 63-0116 244 Eliezer sweated it out, until he found character. That's right. Who would he get? And he trusted God. Character for what? Character for Isaac, the bride, which the Church is type of. You know that. That was the natural seed of Abraham; this is the royal Seed of Abraham. Well, if Eliezer, the messenger hunting the bride and trying to find character, if that man is come, a messenger of the last day, trying to find the Bride for Christ, he will not look for a denominational membership. He will look for character that's willing.

  10. THE.EVENING.MESSENGER_ MESA.AZ V-8 N-5 WEDNESDAY_ 63-0116 247 Look at the little Rebekah listening to every word, her little heart was beating. She... He--he was telling her. Now, you've sweated it out, "Where will I go?" until I find the character. Then when I find the character, then make her stand still long enough to get her ready to go to meet him. Oh, my, what a striking thing! (Wish we had a little more time on that clock.) Get her ready; stand still to listen to his message of him. Eliezer wasn't speaking of hisself, but he was speaking of the one he was sent from. And he had the gifts to prove that he was sent from him. Amen! He wanted to clothe her with these things. You know how he fixed her up.

  11. DESPERATIONS_ JEFF.IN V-4 N-1 SUNDAY_ 63-0901E 93 Eliezer got desperate when the responsibility was placed upon him to hunt a bride for Isaac. Eliezer of Damascus was a great man. He was favored by Abraham, and he was trusted by Abraham to go out and hunt a bride, a right type of a bride, for his son, Isaac. Through that would bring forth Christ. 94 Now, Eliezer, being a spiritual man, knowed what it meant. The right kind of a woman had to be that--that man's wife. And how would he choose it? In the hour of his desperation, when he arrived at the city, he prayed and said, "Lord God!" That's the thing. When you get desperate, go to praying. "Lord God, let the first maid that comes forth and waters the camel, and gives me a drink, be that." He prayed in the hour of his desperation.

  12. QUESTIONS.AND.ANSWERS.3_ JEFF.IN COD SUNDAY_ 64-0830M 1114-Q-363 363. How will it take place and when is--where is the--where is it the Bride goes? It goes to glory, heaven for the Wedding Supper, just in type like Isaac and Rebekah, when Rebekah went to meet Isaac. Remember Eliezer, representing now the message that went forth from Abraham, Eliezer went forth to find a bride for--for Isaac. He found the beautiful Rebekah in the cool of the evening.

  13. ASHAMED_ JEFF.IN V-3 N-9 SUNDAY_ 65-0711 93 And I said, "Surely, there is something in this Word of God, from Genesis to Revelation, that some character in there that You dealt with, would be on the same basis that would be my question. If somebody done something, and--and You got after him about it, then let me turn to that place in the Bible. And if somebody, whatever they done, it'll lean my way. Where I've done wrong, or something You want me to do, or haven't done, let me see some character in the Bible like that." 94 And I closed my eyes, just let the Bible fall open, put my finger on a Scripture, Genesis 24:7. Eliezer, Abraham's faithful servant, the model servant of the Bible, being sent to hunt the bride for Isaac. Chills run over me. Sure, that's my... that's right with the rest of my Message, pulling out the Bride. 95 He said, "Sware that you'll not take a bride out of these, but go to my own people."

  14. REVELATION 21:9 And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife. REVELATION 21:10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,
