  3. Purpose • The purpose of this project is to survey cutting edge smartcard technology, its real world usage, implementation, and the corresponding flaws

  4. Hypothesis • Through this project we hope to find smartcard technology in real-world use and newly proposed smartcard technology that is still in the research phase. We also hope to find research papers that critique the strengths and weaknesses of smartcard technology

  5. Procedure • Internet research • Journals • Periodicals • Research Papers • Final Term Paper • PowerPoint Presentation

  6. Goals • To gain a better understanding of smartcard technology • To be able to identify strengths and weaknesses of smartcard technology • To find new smartcard technology that was recently published

  7. Conclusion • This paper will cover 2-3 specific smartcard technologies and give a topical survey of smartcards in general. Hopefully this will lead to a more in depth study of a specific smartcard technology after the analysis has been presented.
