1. PROFILE OF GEMINI GRAAPHICS PRIVATE LIMITED SECURITY PAPER MILL

2. 1.0 Introduction: • Since 1984, GGPL is in the business of Security Printing, specialising in the printing of security documents for Banks, Universities, State Governments, etc. To cater to the needs of customised Security Paper market, this speciality Paper Mill was setup and commissioned in October 2003.

3. 2.0 Plant Location: • The Security Paper Mill is strategically located to ensure highest level of security for the production of Security Papers. It is located in a 28 acre plot, 14.5 km away from Bidar Town (Bidar is about 125 kms away from Hyderabad)

4. 3.0 Plant Layout and Plant Capacity: • The plant is scientifically laid out to facilitate smooth flow of production from Stock Preparation to Paper Making and Finishing. • The plant has all the equipment to produce a range of security papers to meet the requirements of a wide variety of Negotiable and Valuable Documents. A number of Product Options are available such as Non-fluorescence, Chemical sensitisation, and special security features including Watermarks, Fibres and planchettes. • The plant is designed to produce 3000 tonnes of High Security Papers,Speciality and Industrial Papers per annum annually on the existing facility ,and additionally 1800 tonnesof Speciality Papers is proposed in the new paper plant expansion program undergoing erection.

5. 4.0 Quality Management Systems: • To enable producing consistent quality, the company has installed excellent Process Quality Control systems, together with an extensive Testing Laboratory. The Company has got its products accredited with Bureau of India Standards. Paper mill has an accredation of : • 1. ISO 9001-2008. • 2. Bureau Of Indian Standards(BIS)

6. 5.0 Products: • Security Papers from Gemini Graaphics are made to customer specifications and can incorporate many Anti - Forgery and Anti - Counterfeiting Features. Company has got License to produce paper required for Bank Cheques and Instruments with ISI Mark with No. CM/L-6474176. Besides this,the Company is also engaged in Production of Industrial and Speciality Papers

7. Security Papers : • To cater to the very special and sensitive needs of our customers, we have our own plant to manufacture various kinds of security paper products. We are the only security printer to have our own facility to manufacture security paper. To ensure that a document is not easily duplicated or tampered with, we have developed security features which are built into the paper at the time of manufacturing. Apart from high-quality watermarks, we can manufacture paper which is sensitive to chemicals, special light sources, etc.

8. MICR Cheque Paper: • This paper is used for the printing of MICR bank cheques, bank drafts and other bank instruments. It is suitable to run on high speed reading and sorting machines. The plant has a licence issued by the Indian Standards Institute for the manufacture of MICR Cheque Paper with the ISI Mark. It is made as per BIS standard and specifications laid down by Indian Banks Association and Reserve Bank of India. The paper can also be made with our standard watermark or the customer’s watermark.

9. Parchment Paper: • This variety of paper is used for printing of security documents like certificates, mark sheets, deposit receipts and other documents which need to be stored for a long time and hence need more strength and a good printable surface. It is available in the range of 100 gsm to 160 gsm, with or without customised or standard watermark.

10. Paper for Bonds, Stamps, Passports and Other Value Documents: • We also manufacture paper to suit special confidential requirements and sensitive specifications. For obvious reasons, we cannot reveal these paper varieties and the names of customers.

11. Customised Security Paper: • We can manufacture paper to suit the customer’s specific security needs, incorporating watermarks, visible and invisible security fibres, chemical sensitivity, special coatings and many other high-end security features.

12. Specialty Papers and Industrial Papers:

13. Abrasive Base Wet Strength Papers : • These are Medium Density and high Wet Strength Kraft Papers. They are produced from imported Softwood pulps of very high strength in 120 gsm and 150 gsm.

14. Crepe Papers: • These grades of wet strength papers are specific to Automobile Fuel Filter applications and also used for Seed Germination applications in a wide range of basis weights. They are also used for coffee filtration and as a base paper for producing masking tapes. They are available in both white and brown varieties, made from imported Softwood pulps of very high wet strength.They are usually produced from 60 gsm to 120 gsm.

15. Insulation Papers: • These Grades are paper types that are used as electrical insulation in many applications due to pure cellulose having outstanding electrical properties. It is widely used as electrical insulation wrap on aluminum and copper wires by conductor manufacturers, and also in bushings used ultimately for transformer applications.It is produced in the gsm range 40 gsm to 125 gsm.

16. Decorative Laminate Papers : • We manufacture pattern paper which forms the surface of decorative laminates. Through the use of titanium dioxide, this high-function paper prevents the penetration of base color materials. Besides small batch production and low base weight paper production technologies, we can create elaborate designs by incorporating specialty fibers or inclusions in gsm range 60 gsm to 90 gsm. Applications include base paper for high pressure decorative laminates , base paper for low pressure decorative laminates (Solid color and Print base), base paper for nonflammable decorative laminates, a variety of base paper for substrates of decorative laminates.

17. Anticorrosion Papers or VCI Papers : • We produce these grades from imported wood pulp. VCI Paper offers protection to a wide range of ferrous, non-ferrous and composite metals from corrosion. VCI Paper offers protection by direct contact, as well as distant vapor phase. VCI Paper carries sufficient load of chemicals and is self-replenishing, thereby permitting inspection and re-packing,and  eliminates conventional messy and polluting methods including extended shelf life.It is generally produced in 60 gsm and above.

Interleaving Kraft Papers : • Kraft Interleaving Paper is used between layers of metal sheets to prevent any damage to the surface caused by the friction between two layers.  The Kraft interleaving paper can overcome high tension, high temperature and slip caused by temperature drop between sheet layers. The interleaving paper has characters of heat-resistance, high surface strength, smoothness, anti-aging etc. and has strictly controlled very low content of halogen, sulfate and other impurities to prevent the steel plate from scratches and discoloration in the course of long-term storage and transportation. The interleaving paper has pull-resistance and anti-impact properties to avoid breaking off. The tie-in rate of paper page is very close to zero, in order to overcome the moving speed of stainless steel in the production process which is very fast and changes frequentlyThe stainless steel interleaving paper is produced in brown and white varieties.The stainless steel interleaving paper is manufactured in 32gsm, 35gsm, 40gsm, 42gsm, 60gsm and can be tailor made according to customer needs.

20. 6.0 Machinery: • The Paper Making plant has been imported from Europe together with stock preparation equipment. Other balancing equipment is procured indigenously to produce 10 Metric Tonnes of Speciality Paper per day. • Besides this, an Online QCS System has been procured from ABB and commissioned recently in August 2012 for online monitoring and control of various process parameters while Papermaking
