Our Philosophy

  • “You can’t eat the orange and throw the peel away – A man is not piece of fruit.” Willy Loman in Arthur Miller’s Death of a Salesman.
  • The high nutrition of the orange peel.
  • We have proof that the “peels” have succeeded.

*Note: Studies have found that the peel had the highest levels of vitamin C followed by the pulp then the juice. Only 26% of vitamin C of a citrus fruit can be found in the juice. The peel had 53% and the pulp and rag had 21%.

Support for Non-traditional Education

Non-traditional education currently is limited to “word of mouth” communication.

National formal and informal networks to support ‘non-traditional’ schools need to be established.

Demonstration

Schools

  • At the center of the Network should be a series of
  • regional, non-traditional demonstration schools to:
    • A. Provide regional leadership.
    • B. Facilitate learning opportunities for educators.
    • C. Facilitate partnerships between community.
    • organizations, schools and universities.
