  5. 2nd Part of War c. September 1814 - British tried to win Lake Champlain (Brits lost) d. December 1814 - British tried to win New Orleans WASTE!! (Brits lost) Andrew Jackson became famous at Battle of New Orleans

  6. War of 1812 Ends e. December 1812 Treaty of Ghent Ends War 1. No real winner 2. Perry and Jackson are heroes 3. Native Americans lost strength 4. Encouraged American growth 5. USA proved again that they could stand up to Britain
