This Code cannot and will not resolve the complicated problems that early childhood educators deal with on a daily basis. The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' traditional ways of life and parenting are acknowledged in the ECA Code of Ethics. The intricate issues that early childhood educators deal with on a daily basis cannot and will not be solved by this Code. The early childhood sector has enthusiastically and warmly embraced the Code of Ethics for more than 20 years. The principles of the Code continue to serve as a benchmark for how we need to conduct ourselves among children, families, coworkers, and the public. They are tenacious and an inspiration. For more than 20 years, the early childhood industry has enthusiastically and warmly accepted the Code of Ethics. The ideas of the Code remain a guide for how we should act among kids, families, employees, and the general public.
