  1. ‘Sukhad Yatra App’ – For An Elevated Highway Experience Sukhad yatra app is a mobile application which was recently launched by Shri Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister of Road transport and highways. This app is launched to provide services like; lodging complaints against FASTag facility and toll plaza management, reports on the potholes and other maintenance issues, safety hazard during road construction along highways across India, poor workmanship of construction, locating point of interests including restaurants, petrol pumps on highways and restrooms, report accidents or any emergencies, real-time data of toll plaza and much more. Since its launch on March 07 2018, the Sukhad Yatra application has gained over 40,000 users, 250 new users every hour with an effective 3.9 rating. The issues and queries regarding the app are positively answered by the NHAI authorities. Spontaneous attention to the highway commuter queries will surely make the Sukhad Yatra app as one of the most user-friendly apps. Along with the application launch, the honorable minister Shri Nitin Gadkari has also introduced 24*7 highway helpline number 1033. This new development will acknowledge the much-needed attention that the mishaps on the national highways required. This helpline enables users to report an emergency or highway-related feedback across national highways. Ministry of Road Transport and Highways is setting up model driving training centers across India to foster training and skill upgradation in HMV and LMV drivers. These training centers are going to get financial assistance from MoRTh which are established in each district to boost employment opportunities. Training sessions given in these centers create awareness among drivers transporting dangerous/hazardous goods. The public friendly app ‘Sukhad Yatra’ provides easy, safer and speedy driving experience for the users on the national highways. Daily and most often, highway commuters are suggested to make use of this user-friendly application developed by National Highway Authority of India.
