Char Dham Yatra

Chardham Yatra is a religious Yatra for four main temples starting from Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, people end Yatra in Badrinath. Yamunotri is the origin of river Yamuna while Gangotri is the origin of Ganga, Kedarnath is one of the twelve Jyotirlinga in India, Badrinath is considered as abode of Lord Vishnu.

Char DhamYatra – A Journey To Wash Away The Sins The most captivating part of Char DhamYatra is the most four incredible pilgrimage sites and temples that are well known among Indian as well as worldwide tourists. These four Sacred places are YamunotriDham, GangotriDham, KedarnathDham and BadrinathDham.

YamunotriDham – The First Destination of Char DhamYatra Location: Country- India State: Uttarakhand District: Uttarkashi Yamunotri is the source of Yamuna River and known as the seat of Goddess Yamuna. The famous Yamuna Temple is located at the left bank of Yamuna River, it was built by Maharaja Pratap Shah.

  5. Gangotri – The Origin Of Holy Ganga Location: Country – India State: Uttarakhand District: Uttarkashi GangotriDhamis famous because Ganga River originates from this place. The river is called Bhagirathi at the source and acquires the name Ganga from Devprayag onwards where it meets the Alaknanda.Temple at GangotriDham was built by General Amar Singh Thapa in 18th Century.

  6. KedarnathDham– Home of Lord Shiva Location: Country: India State: Uttarakhand District: Rudraprayag KedarnathDham is considered as the home of Lord Shiva. This place is admired because one of the twelve ‘Jyotirlingas’ of Lord Shiva is located here.

  7. BadrinathDham - A Dedication To Lord Vishnu Location: Country – India State: Uttarakhand District – Chamoli Holy Badrinath Temple is situated at the bank of Alaknanda River . The 1 meter long statue of Lord Vishnu in form of Lord Badrinarayan is the major attraction of BadrinathDham.
