Load a Data set • For an example, download these two files, and open the .case file • ftp://ftp.lanl.gov/public/greene/ENSIGHT_HOW_TO/SAMPLE_DATA_2D/n3s_one_step.caseftp://ftp.lanl.gov/public/greene/ENSIGHT_HOW_TO/SAMPLE_DATA_2D/n3s_one_step.geo • Click on the “bounds box” toggle • Get this This is appropriate for 3d data, But not for 2d data.

  3. Change the graphics viewport mode from 3D to 2D Click the “VPORT” button Click ViewPortSpecialAttributes button Get this

  4. Toggle the ViewDimension from 3D to 2D Change the toggle setting from to With this dropdown Now it looks like this…

  5. Getting fancy with grids Foreach axis(x,y) Change Grad Type, SubG Type Experiment with color and format

  6. Getting fancy with extent location Foreach axis(x,y) Change Extent Location to “Both” Get numbers on all sides

  7. Changing the location of the bonds box In Viewport mode bring up bounds attributes For the y-axis the origin and height needs to be changed Now the numbers stay inside the vport
