  1. Tips for Choosing Women’s Innerwear according to Body Type

  2. Women’s innerwear is worn for two main reasons: to provide comfort as well as to enhance the shape of the body. Increasingly women are opting for all of the different types of innerwear for enhancing the shape of different parts of their body to appear more appealing. These include the breasts, the butt, flattening the tummy, or in the case of the corset – to give an aesthetic shape to the torso. Lets look at the broad as well as popular varieties of innerwear frequently purchased by women. First and foremost on the list is the: BRA: Bras are a form fitting innerwear that women wear to support their breasts. It is also popularly believed though not supported with enough factual evidence that bras help in avoiding the breasts from sagging. On an average at any given time an urban woman may own from 7-14 bras. These come in a wide variety, are made of a variety of materials and come in various sizes. Bras are designed to enhance or minimize the size of breasts, to emphasize a woman's cleavage, for comfort, athletic support, nursing and a variety of other reasons. They again can be broadly categorized as backless, balconette, convertible, shelf, full cup, demi-cup, minimizing, padded, plunge, posture, push-up, racerback, sheer, strapless, T-shirt, underwire, unlined, soft cup, and sports bra. 2) PANTY: Panties also referred to as ‘knickers’ or ‘underwear’ can be formfitting or loose. They can be worn just to be comfortable or enhance/ hide certain parts of the stomach/ genital area.

  3. These also vary in design, cuts, cloth, when to wear, etc. They can be broadly categorized as brief, boy shorts, hipsters, hip enhancers, bikinis, thongs, G-strings, period panties. 3) Shapewear: is a part of http://godinattire.comdesigned to temporarily alter the wearer's bodyshape to achieve a more fashionable figure. These garments include bodysuits, brassieres, corsets, garterbelts, girdles, control slips, camisoles, etc. Being shapewear/ foundation garments these are to be worn for a specific outfit. Being underwear, the foundation garment should not be visible under the outerwear, unless the exposure is intended. 4) Corset: commonly worn to slim the body as well as to provide a curvy figure by tightening the waist and enhancing a fashionable figure. There can be an overbust or underbust corset. 5) Teddy: also often known as a camiknicker, is a piece of lingerie that covers the torso and the genital area in one garment. It is a similar style of garment to a one-piece swimsuit or bodysuit, but is typically looser and more sheer. 6) Chemise/ Babydoll: is women's innerwear that to some degree resembles the sleeveless shirts but is typically more delicate, and usually more revealing. It is also more fitting at the waist. A chemise is similar to a babydoll, which is also a short, loose-fitting, sleeveless garment. Typically, though, babydolls are looser fitting at the hips.
