  3. What is a Period End event? The system selects products that did not perform as expected. When does a Period End event occur? Occurs at the end of every forecast interval

  4. What are PE checks? • The system produces batches of items that did not perform as expected and categorizes them by priority.

  5. What are the PE categories? • PE 1 = Items in which the demand is greater than expected (also known as a demand filter high check) • PE2 = Items in which the demand is less than expected (also known as a demand filter low check) • PE3 = Items in which the demand is increasing over time • PE4 = Items in which the demand is decreasing over time • PE5 = Service level requirements have not been met

  17. PE checks summary What is the purpose of the Period End Event? Who should review the PE batches? When should you review your PE batches? Where will you find your PE batches? Why is this critical?

  18. Batches and Reports • There are several supplemental batches and reports to help the buyer, K3S lead, manager and company monitor and maintain items and performance

Batches • Batches are found at the Select Records Review (Option 5 from the main menu) • Select add new batch and a window appears with the list of available batches to run. • Add your criteria (varies by batch type) • Run your batch and within seconds, a new batch will appear for your review.

  20. Batch selections examples • Obsolete Products Batch (OBS) • No on hand or on order (OUT) • Lead Time Exceptions batch (LTM) • Seasonal Profile may need to be added (ZNW) • Seasonal Profile may need a change (ZCG)

  21. Reports • Reports are found by selecting option 7 from the main menu • Select which report you would like to run • Enter your criteria • Submit your job and a report runs to where you have designated it
