  9. WHAT IS RIT? • RIT: (Rasch Unit)The RIT Scale is a curriculum scale that uses individual item difficulty values to estimate student achievement. The RIT Scale has the following characteristics: • Achievement scale • Accurate scale • Equal interval scale • Helps to measure growth over time • Same meaning regardless of grade or age of student
