Middle East start-ups need a cultural shift to embrace coworking spaces
The Middle East is still, in many ways, not used to contemporary western culture. Especially not when it comes to the corporate sector. While the economy is booming as always, the staff that makes it happen is often found at home. This strange way of working can be very easily termed as a virtual workplace. What is that? It’s simply a workspace where most of the employees work from home and don’t need an office to perform their daily job in. This is mostly famous with startups. Now, obviously startups aren’t very loaded with funds and have to look for ways to minimize their expenses so they can actually make their revenue worthwhile and it doesn’t take those ages to move past the recovery costs to the actual profit. In that case, most new businesses opt for virtual workplaces. That way, they don’t need to pay for a huge office space and the utilities that keep it running. Just buying computers is a gigantic investment that a person with a brand new company can very obviously not afford. These people suggest and start from virtual offices. A virtual office is unlike any other office so finding it is not just some real estate job that you can hire a consultant for. In your virtual offices, you’re going to need as less space as possible and make it appealing as well because it’s going to represent your virtual workplaces. A ground office that’s used for marketing and other on ground work like finances is actually of the most critical things of acquiring a virtual workspace. Especially in a place like Dubai where marketing is a tough job considering how many people need to be catered to with the ever growing diversity. Finding spaces that do a good job of representing your virtual workplace is also difficult. This is popular with news companies and other companies that require writing jobs. For example, many content writers or copy writers start their jobs as freelancers. Freelancing means doing work from home or doing work under your own terms. A little like private working or being your own employee. Now that sounds fun. They are quite different majorly in the aspect that your tasks are the exact same as a coworking space but you don’t have an office to chair to sit on. You do the required tasks in your own convenient setting. These offices need to be small and used purely for the purpose of absolutely necessary ground work and marketing. They need to represent your business. Why are they important? No one will trust a work system that purely virtual. You can’t trust anything if it’s abstract. You need to see some on ground work. For the legitimate existence of the company, on ground stations are required. Especially for the sake of most business and corporate laws. There must be a registered space to begin with if a person wants to do things legally.
