  1. One? None? Infinite? LT: I can solve multi step equations, by applying the properties of real numbers and identifying the solution (one, none or infinitely many).

  2. Reteach/Review Visit Kahn academy and visit the links (arrow pointing) to review the different ‘solutions’ to equations. Click the screen shot to direct you to the page.

  3. How was the review? Now that you took a moment to refresh your memory on the ‘different solutions’ COPY the problem below on YOUR PAPER. SHOW how to solve and then TELL. Create the T chart. 1.

  4. Eric Error Eric has made a mistake on his exit slip. He needs help understanding where he went wrong. 2. On your paper CORRECTLY solve 4x+ 7=x-2 and give AT LEAST ONE sentence to detail the mistake that he made. .

  5. Camel Cinema Vs. Showcase. At Showcase Cinema every Saturday you spend: $8.00 for your ticket, $4.00 for your drink, $3.00 for your popcorn and $1.00 per video game. The new Camel Cinema opened and it will cost you: $7.50 for your ticket, $3.50 for your drink, $4.00 for your popcorn and $1.00 per video game. 3. Which Cinema is cheaper if you plan on playing 5 games? 2 games? What can you conclude about the number of solution(s)?

  6. Real World Application You are shopping around for a new cellphone plan from Verizon Wireless. Below is a screenshot of some important data detailing OVERAGE FEES. Use the information to answer the following questions on your paper. 4. Write an equation to represent the total cost (Y) for the 2GB plan that includes X amount of overage minutes. 5. Write an equation to represent the total cost (Y) for the 5GB plan that includes X amount of overage minutes. 6. If you chose the 2GB plan and used 3GB of data how much would it cost you at the end of the month? 7. If you chose the 5GB plan and used 3GB of data how much would it cost you at the end of the month?

  7. Cont. • You decided to use Verizon’s Data Calculator to help you determine how much GB you actually need. You entered in how many emails you send/receive per day, webpages you visit, streaming/downloading music etc. Here is what you calculated 6GB(screenshot below) 8. If you use 6GB per month. How much would the 5GB plan cost you for a whole year? 9. After how many months would the 5GB plan cost the same as the 2GB plan? (write an equation with variables on both sides)
