Road markings 2.0m apart confirm speed that has been photographed. Mobile cameras: laser measures speed and is linked to video camera that records offence Red light cameras controlled through cables energised when traffic light is red, camera takes photograph. Average speed cameras trial: SPECS - A77 measures speed between 2 distance points. VAS signage acts as a reminder to encourage compliance and offences have reduced on sites where these have been installed – Halbeath Rd.
