Relationships to Fahrenheit 451 • Ray Bradbury says: “I stand against any library or any librarian anywhere in the world being imprisoned or punished in any way for the books they circulate” • Cuba does have book burnings just like Fahrenheit 451 • In Fahrenheit 451 the government wants people to not have freedom of speech, Cuba wants the same thing. There related because not only are book burnings still going on there, Fahrenheit 451 is banned there! • Bottom line : Cuba only wants the governments ideas.

Censored Internet • Blogs • Journalists are illegal in Cuba you could be sent to jail for being a journalist • The price of internet is so high that most people do not have it • 1.2 euros per hour on the national internet • 4 euros per hour for international internet • National internet just allows you to use information that is from Cuba • International internet allows you to use all the information that is not blocked by the Cuban government
