Goal #3 – Provide Financial Assistance for Education and Literacy • Probably the most confusing component…. • We are a group of managed advocates for directed donations, we are not a NGO • We ask that each member donate a minimum of $1,000 to a NGO with the main focus of either education. • The donation is for each calendar year • You do not have to have your own identified, certainly members can solicit donations from the Partnership • The NGO has to be recognized to validate our objective

  11. Next Steps: Do we plan an event next year? Or just a reunion dinner with updates? Keep the program as is? Continue individual donations and report as part of the ongoing effort. Maintenance of the web site and social communication. Need volunteers

Governance ModelKick-off proposal for 2016 • Aim is to empower two members out of the Board of directors and allowing team as the governing body to work effectively to carry out the mission of our H.E.L.P. philanthropy • Founders and current Board Members • GilkeEeckhoudt; Juan Pablo Chadid; HanjoRunde; Paul J Finnegan; Yves Nono • Chairperson of the Board (CB) • • To be elected 1st year by the board for a term of 12 months. • • Presides over general board meetings. • • Speaks on behalf of the organization to the public and media. • • Chairs the Executive Committee Review (ECR). • Vice Chairperson (VC) • • To be elected every year by the board for a term of 12 months. • • Succeeds the chairperson at the end of his or her term of 12months in office. • • Assists the chairperson and serves in his or her absence. • • Organize the election • Board Functions: CB and VC to assure the key functions (Communication, Finance, Planning, Monitoring and evaluation of activities such as Reunion) enabling carry out an adequate governance. responsibility split and yearly action plan to be presented 1month after the election to the Board of Director for approval*. • Executive Committee Review: To take place at least 3 times per year and to be organized by CB with the participation of the Board of Directors and 1 time per year with the participation of the advisors.
