behaviour, which substantially intervenes with one of more

neighbours use or enjoyment of their premises.

  • Aggressive, threatening or obscene language or behaviour
  • Drunken behaviour and uncontrollable parties
  • Fighting or acts of physical violence
  • Unwanted entry into neighbouring property
  • Throwing rubbish or missiles into neighbouring property
  • Intentional/reckless damage to tenanted property, adjourning premises or part of common area.

If a complaint is substantiated:

  • The incident is recorded on the tenant’s file
  • An official written warning is sent to the tenant
  • An explanation of the decision is sent to the complainant
  • If the behaviour persists the Department may terminate tenancy
