  6. The Wenning Orvelte • The construction is made of wood. • The whole construction is made 1 meter below the service.

  7. Italian constructions If you want to build in Italy you have to think about the weather types, for example: • If you build in an invironment with a lot of sun, you have to make big roofs, so they can protect the house against sun. • An other example is, a big piked roof for if you want solarpanels on your roof. • If you build in an environment with a lot of snow, you have to make big piked roofs so the snow can fall down.

  8. The ECO-Concept building. Here you can see that the roof is very big.

  9. The alpine area Here you can see that the roof has got a big pike, so the snow can fall down.

  10. Sustainable Housing in Europe In this project you can see that the roof has got a big pike. That’s because if you put a solarpanel on it, the panel get more sun.

  11. Differences and similarities Differences: • The walls, In Holland we use cavity walls, that’s for better insulation. Here in Italy you use massive walls. • The weather circumstances, In italy there are different weather invironments, so you have to think about that. In Holland we don’t have it that much.

  12. Similarities • A lot of the materials are the same, for example: concrete and wood.
