About the PTEC Safety Committee and getting involved Mission: The mission of the BTC PTEC Safety Committee is to develop and promote a healthy and safe environment for all process Technology Students through the involvement of all individuals with regards to education, communication and safe work practices on campus and in the industry. As safety is a very important aspect of working in the process Tech industry, one of the main missions of the committee is to introduce Safety practices and getting the students familiar with working on safety issues and bringing safety awareness to the program. Getting involved: Join: The safety committee by attending bi-weekly meetings and getting involved. Unsafe Acts: If you see an unsafe situation clean it up or mark it off and fill out the card. Turn it into an instructor and receive a certificate for keeping all of us safe. Safety Cards: You be at the sink and see that it is dirty. Clean it up. If you find a card at that situation then that means an instructor has also seen it. Take action as the card directs and return to an instructor.
