Unit SummaryDue to the increasing garbage people produce, the local community landfill is running out of space. In this project students and their teacher are hired to evaluate their school and community recycling and remove waste. After researching and analyzing past and current methods, teams develop a new recycling plan complete with cost analysis and supporting data.

  3. Curriculum Framing Questions Essential Question.who decides? Unit Questions . Why do we need to change an environment free from plastic?  Content Questions  .How are different materials (plastic, glass, paper,) recycled?  .How can we learn how people feel about recycling?

  4. Vision for UnitPlastic bags are an environmental disaster; they are unsightly, they decimate wildlife, are filling the oceans and are made out of oil so help cause global warming. We use billions of plastic bags every year.

  7. How to remove Plastic Bags Do not use plastic bags for every produce item Get a reusable shopping bag Skip the plastic bag for sweaty clothes Cancel newspaper and magazine subscriptions, or ask them to eliminate the plastic bags/covers Say "No, Thank you" to store's plastic bags “
