Objectives • To study a given problem and summarize your findings in your own words in a technically correct manner. • To develop skills to analyze an unsolved problem and on the basis of review of literature , theoretical and experimental basis draw conclusion . • Develop the skill of presenting your findings and views before an audience and respond to question. Selection Of Topics For Seminars and Thesis • Encourage if student has an idea • Discuss with staff members and take final decision • You can choose either a guide or a topic • Correct choice of the topic and guide means half the work done. • Specify the problem in a precise and set the limitations under which you will stay.   20. Feedback from external Examiner • Selection of topic : Satisfactory but not so relevant in today’s context. •  Information Gathering & System Analysis : Satisfactory. It could have been better with relevant references. System analysis is not so detailed. •  Project Management & Planning : ok. Project scheduling is completely ignored. No planning tools are used. •  Requirement Definition : Good. : Well defined requirements. No proper SRS with module formations. •  Requirement Analysis : Good. : The details provided in the report are not very detailed and impressive. No CASE tools are used. • System Analysis : Ok : with DFD and UML diagrams are contradictory. •  Design : Satisfactory. : Some industry standard templates for FS & TS document could have been used to document the design. No design methodologies adopted. •  Implementation : ok. : The details provided in the report are not very detailed and impressive. •  Testing : Satisfactory. : I feel that the testing is not done completely. Some important test cases are missing. •  Project Report content : Satisfactory. : Lot of theoretical material included, Some material is not relevant to the subject.
