  3. Navigation Acts • Navigation Acts (passed by England) • Colonies could only export goods to England • Could only import goods from England • All goods coming and going from the colonies were carried on English ships

  4. More taxes • To help pay for French & Indian War, King George III raised taxes in B and in America • Americans do not like paying taxes to help pay for B’s war • King of England keeps raising taxes • Stage is set for Revolution
